Prior to coming to the bar Kiel was admitted as a solicitor in 2008 and was practicing as a Special Counsel at one of Australia’s top-tier Family Law firms.

Kiel has extensive experience and practises in all areas of Family Law including complex financial matters involving property alteration and spouse maintenance disputes, complex parenting matters involving serious allegations of abuse, relocation, parenting arrangements and child support disputes,

In 2015 Kiel became an Accredited Specialist in Family Law and he was recognised as a Rising Star in Family Law in New South Wales in the 2018 edition of the Doyles Guide.

Kiel was one of the Managing Editors of The Practitioner’s Guide to Family Law 5th Edition.
